GINGERBREAD HOUSE VISITOR PAGE |
| |
| |
Over the years I have had quite a few emails and messages in my guestbook from people who have either enjoyed the photos of my gingerbread houses or used the recipes or instructions, and I would like to encourage you all to continue sending me emails/messages and photos of your finished products. Good quality photos are really appreciated and might end up here on this page if you want to. Please leave out your family members, take only photos of your gingerbread house, and try to take the photos in daylight without using a flash if possible.
|
| |
Please send me the original photos, even if they are up to 4-6 MB in size, I will make them the right size for the web-site. Please send no more than 4-5 large photos in total, and include a brief description of you and your project. The first photos are already here so start sending photos of your own gingerbread houses. Good luck with your projects! |

Thank you so very much for your generous gingerbread house webpage! I had the idea to make a gingerbread house for my boyfriend for his Christmas present, but so many websites are just out there to make money selling the patterns! Thank you so much for all the tips and advice, and seeing other people's houses posted on your site really inspired me also! Everyone is impressed with the results!
I had purchased a tray to present it on but unfortunately I couldn't fit both "wings" on, so I made it a bit smaller...I'd already baked all the gingerbread pieces, but that didn't matter-it meant that the house could be presented on the coffee table with a bowl of gingerbread and left over lollies and chocolates-so if anyone was tempted to eat some house, they could eat the scraps instead!
Thanks once again-best wishes, Zola, Melbourne, Australia (2012)
Thank you Zola for your impressive contribution and for your kind words! |

I got these great photos from Autumn from Philadelphia, Pa, USA, and she writes: "I used your pattern for the basis of my house this year and I just wanted to say thanks for sharing! Quite pleased with the outcome. Didn't try to do the sugar glue yet - kind of afraid to try, but hope to next year. Happy holidays!"
Thank you so much Autumn, and your gingerbread house looks amazing! (2011) |

I got these stunning pictures from Diane, Wallingford, CT USA, she writes that the photos are their creation for the Historical Society's Christmas Party last year. She is doing a gingerbread house demonstration at their local Historical Society this week-end (Nov 2011). I look forward to perhaps receiving some great pictures in January next year? :-)
Thank you so much for the pictures, Diane, and good luck with your gingerbread church for 2011! |

Here are pictures from Anu, she writes: I made the house together with my good friend; it was for the conference centre that we both work in. We put a lot of effort in it, since it was to be the centerpiece for their main Christmas event... Windows are made of boiled sweets, for the roof we used some bran flakes! There is also a gingerbread fence and a gingerbread christmas tree:) Thank you so much for the site and best wishes for 2010! :)

This picture is from Bev who said in her email that this wobbly but colourful gingerbread house was her first attempt - with many errors. However, we all love the result and I will be making them every year, she said.

Here are photos sent me from Melissa, who wrote: This was my first gingerbread house. It took me 7 hours, but it was fun. I am inspired to make a new gingerbread house every year. Next year, I think my daughter will be old enough to help me.
My house was displayed at the Director's Christmas Party at the Dayton Veterans Medical Center, Ohio. Next year I would like to raffle one off and donate the proceeds to a veterans charity. Thank you, so much for the inspiration and the plans. Melissa, Ohio, USA (2008). |

Here is a photo sendt me in an email from Nella, who writes: Please find my version of your gingerbread house in a picture attached. It was a joy to make it - I've made it from gluten free flour! Have a look at the windows, they look like leaded glass (gelatin sheets!).
