I have received photos from Alistair again who contributed here last year, he writes:

"I'm now back home and working in a hotel in Northumberland, I've still used the same templates as last year, but re-arranged them. From start to finish it took me about 56 hours, I made 37kg of gingerbread dough, 6kg royal icing, 123 mini LED lights and about 1100 roof tiles. All this I produced on my own, the display is that large I was unable to build it in the pastry as I was unable to get it through the door, I had to construct it in the corridor, it took 4 of us to carry it to reception. The size of the base is 1829mm x 762mm approx. 6ft x 2 1/2 ft. Already looking forward to next year.
