JapanZone.no is a Norwegian company started in 2006. They offer their services to Norwegian businesses who deal with businesses in Japan, helping them to understand Japanese culture in general and their business culture in particular.

They wanted a logo representing their services, but were very open for suggestions. I made quite a few ideas in the first round, and the logo they picked was then developed further.
